Nigeria Health Declaration: Mandatory for All Travelers

All travelers entering Nigeria — including Nigerian citizens returning home — are now required to complete the NCDC Health Declaration Form before boarding their flight. This requirement, reinforced in 2026 as part of Nigeria’s public health response to regional disease outbreaks, applies without exception, regardless of nationality or purpose of travel.

What members need to know:

  • Complete the declaration online at healthapp.ncdc.gov.ng, ideally at least 24 hours before departure
  • The form is free of charge and takes only a few minutes
  • You will receive a QR-coded PDF confirmation by email — keep it accessible on your phone or printed for arrival
  • Have your passport, travel itinerary, Nigerian destination address, and emergency contact details ready before starting
  • Those unable to complete it online will be given a paper form on arrival, which typically means longer processing time at the airport

Failure to complete the declaration may result in additional health screening or delays at the port of entry. NIDO France encourages all members planning travel to Nigeria to complete this step well in advance.
